2009 Dragonsite/Fairysite Shop Event
Collect@ in Halifax

The very first Dragonsite/Fairysite shop event was held on the 25th of April 2009 in Halifax in the shop called Collect@ which is based in the Piece Hall.

They made use of the empty shop next door so that there was more space, Andrew Bill was based in here and the room was set up with three display cabinets showing some of the new releases which were all available to buy on the day, there were the Dragonsite pieces 'Panacea', 'The Twins', 'Pristine' & 'Arrival', plus there were some new Fairysite figures, the four new Linda Ravenscroft Fairies and 4 new Nene Thomas Bubble riders based on the Symphony series.

There was also a raffle and a quiz and food and drink was supplied plus there was a free badge.

In the main shop was a great Dragonsite/Fairysite display where they also had all the Seven Sins which was nice to see

The piece called 'Arrival' the Event piece was the same one that was available at the main Dragonsite show in 2008 but this time in a blue colourway exclusive to the Halifax event.

Andrew Bill also brought along his brand new Laidly Wyrm piece for the shop to sell

As an extra bonus, in the Piece Hall square there was a Saint George's day celebration,  which added to the day.

Pat & Andy at Collect@ had obviously put in a lot of work towards organising the show and I hope they had a great day. (Hopefully the next shop events well be better advertised than this one was by Dragonsite itself)

Here are a few snaps I took on the day and a few by collector Ivo.

The Event piece 'Arrival' in it's special blue colourway that was only available on the day and the free promo badge provided by Collect@
(The year on the badge looks like 2008 but I'm sure it's just the font used that makes it look like that)

The new boxes for Fairysite pieces (bit too fussy for my liking)

The Campest dragon I've ever seen in my life was to be seen mincing around the Piece Hall square with it's tiny wings, shown here with the Friendly Dragon shops own smaller dragon!
