OTHER INFORMATION |
Even though this was the second Vrorst piece made, it isn't classed as a 'second series' because the other wizards weren't made to make a full set to go with this one so this is classed as a standalone piece and EN2067 became the second edition of Vrorst instead Early versions of this piece came with a greeny/blue throne which was replaced later by an ice blue throne, the very first trail versions had a clear throne and my local stockist says that the first one she ever got was clear so it is possible that the odd one or two got away from the factory - The green version also seemed to have loads of bubbles in the resin but the blue one had a lot less. A version with the clear Throne was sold at the 1996 Extravaganza auction but I failed to get a photo of it so if anyone has one with a clear throne I would love to see some photos Contact Me The reason for the different colours was that the first clear resins that were used had a yellow tone and when the blue dye was mixed it made the greeny blue tones of the early versions, but the clear resins that were used later were truly clear so that when the blue dye was added it was true blue. For a side by side comparison photo of the green and blue Throne scroll to the bottom of this page |
Below are two picture of the Blue Throne
Below are a few side by side comparison photos of the green and blue throne
(above) The new ride at Disney World was a great hit with the Vrorst lookalike club!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Below are two close ups of the back of the throne - you can clearly see a lot more bubbles in the green version (on the left) than in the later blue version
This piece came with the wooden framed certificate as shown below but I have seen it with a card folder
It also came with the following small card that explains the bubbles in the throne
