EN2127 - Custodian

 CUSTODIAN

A number of ice palaces were constructed within the confines of Vrorst’s realm; for the Ice Lord himself and his highest captains.  The wizard Razhgor wasone such illustrious servant.  A confederate of Mezereon at one time; and the sorcerer who aided the Grand Corrupter in the capturing of his many prisoners: wretched souls who were to be the raw materials for the Dark Sorcerer’s evil experiments.

When Vrorst fell, his supporters were thrown into confusion, and his highest captains, rather than rally around an emergent successor, scattered in fear to hide themselves from the eyes of the victorious.  Razhgor, knowing himself to be a valuable prize to the enemy, fled to his fortress in a secret corner of Vrorst’s realm and secreted himself within.  He set a powerful dragon known as Corracrist to guard the entrance to his glacial refuge, and the dragon, made stronger by the wizard’s magic, defended his master against all attackers; and Razhgor was never taken from his frozen haven.
