AVENGER
General Halmarand and his steed Agamanthra
The sky was darkened by a plummeting wall of wings, stretched spans of skin clawing great volumes of air in a plunging embrace. Large horned heads, encased in gold, were thrust forward on broad, sinewy necks, their powerful bodies folded to strike; thick belts of muscle rising like twisted rope beneath their scaly skin, every fibre taught with the force of the dive. A sweeping scythe of dagger teeth and bared claws cut deep into the fray, cleaving the rising forest of dark spears asunder; the hurtling bodies of the dragons smashing into the hastily assembled goblin ranks like boulders into rotting wood.
As the ferocious dragons crashed into the walls of dark armour, their sabre like talons ploughing into the cluster of bodies and spraying the cliff top with an explosion of clattering iron-clad warriors, the swiftly borne lances of the golden knights drove hard into the bunched columns of goblins and trolls, skewering their prey with a violent crunch of metal through metal…
