PIA’SHARN

DRAGON OF MANY COLOURS

As it is recorded, a great dragon of many hues descended upon the open woodlands and lowlands of the south western plains of Dragongorge during the fruitful years of the second dawning.

From head to tail of this magnificent dragon would dance colours from the very heart of the rainbow, adopted only for its courtship rituals during the season of the highest cycle of the sun, as recorded and so named by the great observer himself Danskamere, who wrote, “It is with great joy that I write these words, as upon the gret verge of Dragongorge, I sit watching the dragon I have come to name Pia’Sharn.  A dragon of at least eighteen krills in length and a sizeable six pariqs.  Its calls of courtship echo through the narrow gulleys and clefts, reaching beyond the mountains of ice, its wings outstretched to show colours of such intensity, my weary old hand could not begin to describe by written words alone…”

Although beautiful, Pia’sharn was also a cunning hunter, preying on the smaller Kalosoon dragons, similar in size to the carrier dragons, and one of the reasons for their near extinction.

Extract taken from the great book of Enchantica,
Scribed by Pethrill, apprentice to Scribe Hammille and notes from the Great Observer the late Danskamere.
