EN2184 - Pendra

 Pendra

The Custodian

There have been many dragons, whose stories have been told over the years.  Yet it is the tales of the guardians and keepers that are retold time and time again and whose stories never seem to tire but grow with wonder and intrigue.

Although not as domesticated as some Dragons, Custodians are called upon only in times of great need.  Elders of the village or town call upon a crystal shard, a fragment of an ancient crystal which had been shared, many years ago to other neighbouring settlements, each shard emitting a different aura, to summon their custodian to bring them safe from harm’s way, whether it is to keep watch at night from predators, to fend off any intruder or to fly sick or injured to a place of safety.  In return for its deeds the dragon is rewarded and worshipped to which it will return to its brethren until called upon once more.
