“Cörragh”

It has been easy to follow the bats back at dawn to the great yawning entrance in the mountainside.
The mineral deposited stalagmites had been slick underfoot, but his bruised knees were certainly going to be worth the reward. Gathering only the most precious stones from the hoards, the diamonds that he carried in a small sack were probably worth the same as all the gold and silver that still remained and it would have taken twenty men to steal that, such was the size of this creatures glittering bed. Only now, as he stood in the stolen armour, not daring to breathe, were the implications clear. The small bag of stones had slid down the rocks and was gone in the murky and unknown depths around him, but worst of all, was the huge black shape that had glided effortlessly under the watery depths, a few bubbles were all that had given away the presence of the returning inhabitant.
Blue, glassy scales had risen, dripping from the water and Cörragh rose, mighty and all powerful in his domain, to tower over the small intruder.
The dragon arched his neck and sniffed, the treasure hunter waited…
