EN2268 - Hemmanak

HEMMANAK

Along the many shores, small coves and fishing villages, you can almost find vast collectives of small dragons known as the Hemmanak, making the coastlines their natural home, man and dragon live in perfect harmony.

Throughout the designated fishing areas are “perches” made from hardy mobel wood, weather torn from the many years they have been stood.  The Hemmanak will sit upon these stands and follow the small fishing boats.

Fishermen will cast a strange, flowing net into the waters depths and tie each point to a neighbouring boat.  A small shout or hail tell the Hemmanak that their time has come and dive into the cool depths to drive shoals of fish into the waiting traps.

Of course, once the boats reach shore, as many times have passed before, the bountiful catch is shared between man and dragon, truly a sight to believe.
