SCULPTOR PROFILE'S
JOHN J. WOODWARD
John went to the Bolton, Lanc Art college from 1981 to 1983 and then moved on to the Stafford college and Stoke Polytechnic.
He designed the artwork for the first novel 'Wrath of the Ice Sorcerer' in 1988 but he didn't join HSC full time until 1991 and he became the head designer.
He created the pigtails range but he didn't sculpt many Enchantica pieces during his time at HSC, he did sculpt the huge 'Throne Citadel' though.
John left the company on the 25th of April 1997 when he moved on to freelance work where he did a lot of Fantasy sculpture for Danbury Mint (see list below) but in 2001 he returned to Enchantica (still freelance) and his first new pieces for the range were released in January 2002.
He worked at Mouldart until it closed in 2007, still as a freelance sculptor but he helped out around the factory with Rob Simpson, When Xystos took over Enchantica he found himself involved again, sculpting and designing but still freelance.
