OTHER INFORMATION

I saw this piece as a wax master way back in February 2001 when I was invited along with a few other Enchantica collectors as part of a consumer group to see what we thought of the idea for a new dragon range, it seemed to take forever for this piece to make it to production due to a few problems. but it finally gets released at the end of 2006 thus ending years of uncertainty of whether this piece would ever get made.

13 pieces were made and painted before the colour scheme was changed, these 13 pieces were aquired by Adrian Donati (UK owner of the dragonsite) and he sold them at the 2006 dragonsite show on the 15th of October.

Click Here to see one of 13 pre-production pieces that were made at the factory but the colour scheme was changed so the 13 pieces were sold off at the Dragonsite show in October 2006.

The photos on this page are temporary until I get photos of the actual production piece.

Original artwork of Thief shown below was drawn by Andrew Bill and as such he owns the ©Copyright to this art - used with kind permission. this is just a coulple of his rough sketches

Below is an official photo of the Wax Master

Below are photos of an early white test piece

Below is the small dragon figure on a pedestal at the centre of the piece, note how the claw from the main dragon is actually part of this piece

Here are photos of a paint trial version in May 2002, It's similar to the one at the show in September 2005 but with some differences. This paint trial has horrible blue blotches on the wings which have gone, there is now yellow on the underside and the ridge spines on the back and on the scales on the face, plus the serpents on the base are now shaded slightly different colours instead of like this version which are all the same, and finally, the dark grey base will now be blue.

The face on this early paint trial is all blue, the production piece will have more yellow

The underside on this early paint trial is all blue and pink, the production piece will be yellow and thankfully the blue splotches on the underside of the wings will not be on the production piece

The spines on the back on this early paint trial are all blue, the production piece will have more yellow

The dark grey base shown here willl now be blue
