2001 Dragonsite Show

The 2001 Dragonsite show was a small low key affair held by Phill & Dea Holland at Moddershall Oaks on the 27th of May 2001, and was used as a launch platform for the Dragonsite. It just happened to be held on the very same day as the Enchantica Extravaganza and it was funny because Phill Holland used to own Enchantica and now here he was running a rival company with Andrew Bill (Enchantica creator) as the main sculptor! what was even funnier was the fact that Phill was to be found on the gates of Trentham Gardens where the Enchantica show was being held, handing out leaflets advertising his own show and subsequently getting  thrown off the premises! it didn't matter because there were a few of us making sure that people knew about the first Dragonsite show.

The event was very low key with pieces sold directly from the warehouse with both Phill & Dea being hands on and selling pieces. On show for people to buy were the Andrew Bill pieces Incantation & Deliverance and the Julie Bell piece Vansal. and a few other pieces were on display like Thief, Secrets & Renascence but no photos were allowed (Thief although one of the first pieces shown, wasn't released until the end of 2006). Andrew Bill was in attendance to talk to collectors and Ex HSC head painter Steve Vyse was painting a large Hap Henriksen piece (Which still hasn't seen the light of day) It turned out to be a successful little show
