PIECE PROFILES
LIBRARIANS ASSISTANT / SPELLBOUND
(Page Two of Two)

The pictures below are of the piece that was on show at the 2002 show, note that the lead that the assistant is holding with the dragon on the end is missing from this piece. This piece was the first piece made and is owned by Phil & Dea Holland.

Note on the picture below that the small bottle has a lable on it with 'Eye of Newt' wrote on it, neither the limited production run piece of 17 or the proper production run have this label

The picture below is of the original unfinished wax sculpture, The photo is owned by the Dragonsite and as such they own the Copyright - used with kind permission

The pictures below are of four of the 'Master' pieces, the Dragon 'master' is missing as it is now broke so when this piece went in to production as "Spellbound" a new dragon was made but it was made with a thicker tail and other parts were made thicker and stronger by Andrew Bill, this makes the 17 original pieces very rare.

The 'Master' below is of the separate oddments - from left to right - Candle 1 (missing the flame), Candle 2, Candle 3 from open book (base only, candle missing), Spoon (broke & missing), Bottle and finaly Cup & Saucer

The pictures below are of the five moulds used to make the Librarians Assistant as created from the above masters.

The photos below are of the "white" for the early Librarain pieces
Ignore the way the dragon is facing, it was just placed on the piece to show roughly where it was to go

A box full of whites waiting to be sent for painting
