12.12.12. Closer to the Art

On Wednesday the 12th of December 2012 Andrew Bill is organising a special little event

Andrew Bill said "It seemed a great shame to let the iconic date of 12*12*12 go by without marking it in some significant way. And I couldn’t think of anything better than working together with friends and family to organise a special event. As you know, 2012 is the last year such a special date will occur, what comes next will be a whole new era – and the future, unlike the event, is not set in stone!!

The event will take place in picturesque Stone Railway Station, Staffordshire, England. This beautiful building from a bygone age has recently been renovated, and is the perfect venue for the modest, friendly, dare I say, intimate event that is being planned."

Light refreshments will be available inside the station (dependent on how many family members Andy can press gang into service on the day!) but the beauty of the location is it is barely 5 minutes walk from Stone Town Centre, a very pleasant market/canal town, for those who don't know it . The venue also boasts free parking. The building itself is now used as a community centre, but Stone is still a working station and is served by the main West Coast line.

Andy has invited other artists and crafters to share the space so there will be more than Andys work on offer on the day.

Guests confirmed are John James Woodward, well know to Enchantica collectors but whose work is much more expansive than just Dragons, He will be there with his Colonel J. Fizziwigs Steampunk  creations. Another guest will beAndrew Hull, best known to Enchantica and Fables collectors for his dragons, pegasus & unicorns. He will have his latest ceramic creations on display. Adrian Donati from The Dragonsite will be there with a stall and Glass artist Kate Brown will be showing her work and Tamara Newman will be there showing her fantasy artwork. Another confirmed guest will be me, John Webster! I will have one of each of the TSL pieces on display and will have my laptop there to show both TSL and Andrew Bills websites (and if anyone is interested my Pirate website and photography site I will show those too), plus I may have a few other things to exhibit. With a bit of luck Sculptor and Designer Rob Simpson will show his face as well as astist Tina Allen (Sherratt) too

Note: As Andy is only a starving artist, and most of his friends likewise, it’s unlikely that any of them will have credit card processing facilities on the day. Therefore, as is often the case with these kind of small scale affairs, cash or cheques will be the order of the day.

There will be two event pieces by Andrew Bill: one available to pre-order before the event, and one only available to buy (or order if they sell out) at the 12.12.12. event itself.

Hope to see you there
