When
the Fables range began it was
supposed to be a range of mythological
creatures i.e Centaur, Minator,
Pegasus, Unicorn, Chimera etc...
but the first unicorns and pegasus
pieces sold so well and Andrew
was told to concentrate on those
so the Centaur was never released.
This
Centaur was an early piece and
was probably sculpted in 1993.
It was the first figure Andrew
had ever sculpted to combine
human and a horse and he found
it very difficult.
As
far as Andrew can remember there
were three pieces produced,
two in the colours that are
shown on this page and another
one with a Dapple brown horse
and the "Human" had
brown hair, The latter is the
piece Andrew once had and he
gave it to his parents but it
must have been sold around 2000
so these are the only photos
we have.
