Morgan Le Fay
John Steinbeck in his book “The Acts of King Arthur and his Noble Knights” wrote this about Morgan Le Fay.
“She was King Arthur’s half sister. Morgan was a dark handsome, passionate woman, and cruel and ambitious. In a nunnery she studied necromancy and became proficient in the dark destructive magic which is the weapon of the jealous. She enjoyed in bending and warping men to her will through beauty and enchantment and when these failed she used the blacker arts of treason and murder.”

Merlin enchanted Uther Pendragon to look like
King Vortigern; thus Uther laid with the King’s wife and from this illicit
union begat Arthur, the future King. Morgan was Vortigern’s daughter and she
held Arthur and Merlin responsible for the death of her father and the shame of
her mother
Morgan bade her time and studied the black arts; when she was ready she
enchanted Merlin and studied under him. Using Merlin’s Magic she made herself
into the image of Guinevere and laid with Arthur. Out of this union came
Mordred, who was ultimately to kill Arthur in battle.
