OTHER INFORMATION |
This is one of 4 versions
of Puck, this is the standard
version
Then there is the 2006
Special Edition,
The Garden
Puck
and the very special Bronze
Puck
Never
have I seen such poor paintwork
on a figure, even in Royal Doultons
days of ownership of Enchantica things
never got this bad. on opening the
box it's hard to believe that
it's the same figure that is
shown in official photos! mine
is going for a repaint and a
friend is repainting her own
piece that was just as badly
painted as mine! it's hard to
see how they can get away with
such shoddy work and never again
will I buy another piece from
this range unless I pick one
up dirt cheap on ebay. it's
not worth buying figures if
everyone you buy you have to
have repainted thus paying twice!
This is a sad state of affairs
because I really wanted to support
this company
You
can safely say that the painters
(i refuse to call them artists)
of these figures have 5 colours
in their paint box! Earth brown,
turquise blue, dark brown, black and
creamy white and none of the
colours are allowed to be blended,
only block colouring are allowed.
Another
thing to note, strip the paint
off and you're left with a resin
figure full of air holes! this
is totally unprofessional and
shows poor quality control during
the mixing and casting stages
of production
To
see photos of how the piece
could look if better painters
were employed, scroll to the
bottom of the page to see a
repainted version.

Look
at the slapped on blue "make up"
and white stripes in the hair representing
highlights!! and look at the single swipe
of the brush over the shoulder! shocking
and shouldn't be allowed out of the factory
in this state
and
a simple brown under the chin that
must have taken the painter 2 seconds to
do
Again,
brown wash and blue brush stokes in odd
places
Shockingly
bad colour blending and poor application
of colour on the hands and fingers
I'd
love to meet inspecter number 9 and slap
them with a hugh paint brush and see how
they like such an assult
And
below is the official photo, side by side
with mine... what
you should expect your piece to look like
but don't get
The
artwork below entitled "Puck"
is what the sculpture is taken from, and
it is copyright of Amy Brown www.amybrownart.com

Sue Camm was also unhappy with the paintwork
of her piece so she decided to give it a
repaint, now if only the company could produce
the pieces like this!! it is 200 times better
that the production paintwork!
