Draglet/Nesslet Garden landscaping

Sue decided to do a Dragon scene in her garden loosely based on Carol Lynn Penny's Genesis Creations Draglets/Nesslets with a large dragon and a lot of hatching draglets

The photos below show the stages the project went through.

The first two photos show the first stage on construction of each egg which consists of pieces of polystyrene roughly shaped and covered in chicken wire, each egg is about 1 foot tall

Stage two shown below, the eggs have been filled with sand and cement to roughly the right shape

Stage three involves getting the fine detail using external filler before final painting and sealing

For the main dragon Sue started off by sketching what she wanted it to look like

This is attempt number one which Sue wasn't happy with

The second attempt was much more successful and is taking shape.

And here it is with its 'skin'

And here with it's base coat

And here fully painted but needing a coat of matt sealant to take off the shine

Below are photos of a second project which shows much improvement over the project above
Firstly the new main dragon idea is a dragon head with the rest of the body disappearing down a hole.

And here are some more new eggs

Below is a smaller dragon, it is 3.5 feet from nose to tail but only 45cm long and 33cm across

And here is a painting production line
