Have you ever thought about making a 'how to' video on how you make your dragons/wizards etc? Just something simple, a bit like the Wendy Froud video on how she makes a faery figure :)

Hi Everyone!

Well, it's not a video... But I do have an in-depth slide show on how I created one of my larger Dragons, Vargas the Stone Tyrant over a period of five months...

http://dragonlordstudios.com/Making-Of-Vargas-2009.htm

Be sure to scroll down - the "gallery" link at the top leads to a gallery of finished photos of the Dragon. The tutorial you are looking for is posted below the main photo of Vargas...

It should be noted that I am a MUCH better sculptor than I am a photographer... :/ but I think you'll get the gist... Also, I am very close to a site update which involves an overhaul of the slideshow, which will make it a lot easier to navigate. Turns out I'm also a MUCH better sculptor than I am a web designer... :lmao:

Cheers,

~G

Gary,

I've had a good look through the casting progress. Very interesting! B)

Thanks for the effort, it's a shame other sculptors couldn't have done the same for us a lot earlier. :/

Ivo,

It is my pleasure. I wish I had known about this forum a long time ago already. I have been a bit behind the times as far as getting out into the world using the internet, and I'm probably quite a bit farther behind than I should be in my career as a Dragon sculptor because of it. But now that I'm here, by all means feel free to ask any questions you like. I'll do my best to answer them :D

Gary,

It will take a little time for the forum members to show themselves and ask you questions.
A lot of them are Enchantica / Dragonsite collectors, but now nothing is being produced under either range, it will be a good opportunity to establish yourself.
Please do bear with us. :)

Hi Ivo!

Thanks for the encouragement - I truly am very happy just to be here and be a part of a community that shares my love of fantasy artwork. Regardless of anything that happens I will continue to create my Dragons and show them here for everyone to enjoy. I understand that with things being as they currently are, it may take some time - but I'm not going anywhere other than my sculpting chair... speaking of which, shouldn't I be working?!?! ;)
