EN2226 - Bethor

 BETHOR

(PEACE KEEPER)

Deep within the crystal caverns which bestow Dragongorge is a wise old dragon, keen of heart and strong of spirit, the dragon known as Bethor.

Although a dragon of great mystery, Bethor can be found deep within the heart of the Western mountains, basking in the cool draughts which howl within the cavern walls; his blue hide and resplendent colours camouflage perfectly within his domain and piercing yellow eyes, glow with such luminosity in the darkest reaches and yet embrace the onlooker, not with fear but a calming, reassuring aura.

A dragon with great might and of domineering presence, with powerful jaws and a white hot flame, gilt with many decorative scales and awesome head-dress which would make any foe think more than twice and, without doubt, pay considerably, should the foolish rush in.

A sentinel for the forces of good, a warrior against evil.

OTHER INFORMATION

Original concept artwork of Bethor below was drawn by Rob Simpson and as such he owns the ©copyright to this art - used with kind permission

This piece came with the large Dragongorge type certificate

The two pictures below show a Paint Trial of Bethor which was shown at a promotional show on the 9th of November 1997 at Goldenhands in Tunbridge Wells - as you can see from the photo's, it was painted much better than the final production piece, if anyone knows the whereabouts of this piece I would be interested in more pictures.

The pictures were taken by fellow collector Clinton Lambert and as such he own's the ©copyright to them.

The three pictures below are of a piece owned by Amanda Quinn who also took the photos and as such she own's the ©copyright to them. it is a production piece but there is a lot more colour in the face, I've put it here to show the differences that can occur
