EN2266 - The Summoning of Ethra'Kaal

 The Summoning of Ethra’Kaal

From out of the mountain mists, broke an unearthly chant,

“KRAAL NU BAR, ETHRA’KAAL, NUBAR RA’CH DOSH ETHRA’KAAL”.

The heavy tones of the wizard Tolkenar echoed throughout the gulley.  An ancient, mystical place, known only to the masters of old in the heart of Dragongorge.  The words spoken, the lost tongue of the ancients, from which powerful chants give rise to unearthly things.  Passing the spears of Tanaguall, for only a wizard of true spirit may pass, and chanting the ancient words, the fearless Tolkenar slowly climbed the steps of Ethra to its pinnacle, slowly raising his staff uttered the final words into the depths below…

“NASA’MOUL, KRANN ETHRA’KAAL, TANAG-TOLKENAR, ETHRA’KAAL!”

From below the gorge came a crash of thunder, and an almighty roar.  The wizard, still composed, closed his eyes his staff now glowing white hot.  A pounding of wings filled the static air, causing a whirlwind of air to circle around the point of summoning.  “Show yourself” cried the wizard and from the depths came a dragon of great size, its magnificent frame covered in scales of iridescent greens and vivid purples, cradling the rocky pinnacle with its powerful tail awaited its masters bidding, for this was Ethra’kaal, servant to Tolkenar, emissary of the gorge, keeper of the secrets…
