EN2373 - Mummichog

 MUMMICHOG

Mummichog wore the straight, simple robes of an “Invisible”; a curious, self effacing caste of goblin society that reputedly abstained from the usual aggressive, depraved, murderous activities enjoyed by the rest of the population.  He wore a close fitting head mask, that covered the top half of his face, only narrow slits allowed for his eyes, that supposedly represented anonymity and selflessness; but Tuatara knew better than to think that this seemingly, unassuming individual was no more than a humble, priestly creature.  The real mask that Mummichog wore covered more than just his face.  He was a consummate deceiver and a silver tongued beguiler; whose ruthless ambition had spelled disaster for many a younger courtier; foolish enough to try for a share of the king’s favour.  Mummichog’s vast experience enabled him to skip, light footed across the stormy moods of his violent masters, and emerge at the end even deeper entrenched in his king’s affections than before.

OTHER INFORMATION

Mummichog also appeared on another Enchantica piece, he is the rider on EN2148 Wings of War

Below is the original artwork for Mummichog by Rob Simpson who owns the copyright, used with kind permission

Below is a picture of the original wax master sculpted by Rob Simpson, note the different positioning of the mouth, there isn't the sneer/snarl that appeared on the finished piece, personally I prefer it without the sneer/snarl
(Photo dated 6th of December 2001)
