MOONSTRUCK
(Lunaticus)

The First book of Mages tells of the importance placed by many sorcerers on astronomical signs. Indeed, so closely do some wizards relate these symbols to their craft that they have representations of them woven into the fabric of their long robes. Crescent moon, full moon, the sun and stars, their unmistakable profiles have always held great potency for those who gaze skywards.

The crescent is but one phase in the Moon's endless cycle and has always figured largely amongst the mystical influences of the enchanted world. The ancients based their calendars on the constant and reliable phases of the Moon. They knew that just as the Moon was one with the land and the tides of the seas, so was she also one with the tides of life.

OTHER INFORMATION

This is one of a set of three pieces (Starlight & Sunburst being the other 2) that can be bought as a set or as separate figures, for the first 30 days that the pieces were on sale, you could get the sets that have matching Numbers but it cost you more for the privilege

It was first released in November 2002 when Andrew Bill did a tour of America and 112 sets were painted for the tour to be sold at the events, Andrew also painted a set at each show (12 sets in all) in a colour of his choice.

The tour and production pieces are cast in white resin except for the 'Moon' logo which is in translucent blue resin - Andrew Bill painted a few pieces while on his 2002 tour of the U.S which were completely cast in translucent blue.

Production pieces went on sale on the 1st of February 2003 with slightly different paintwork to the tour pieces

Original artwork of Moonstruck shown below was drawn by Andrew Bill and as such he owns the ©Copyright to this art - used with kind permission.

Below is the front and back view of the certificate that comes supplied with 'Moonstruck

Below is the original wax sculpture of Moonstruck

The pictures below show the production and special U.S. Tour pieces together
Note that the production piece has a more purple base and has more scales and detail picked out in silver, also the back spines and Celtic pattern on the 'Moon' is picked out in silver whereas the tour version is in gold. The base is also covered in glitter which I personally don't like
