January 12th 2009 |
(Enchantica section) - I've updated the Xystos history of Enchantica section, due to Xystos no longer continuing with the Enchantica brand. (This was announced on my forum in November 2008).
Sorry for the lack of updates recently, this is due to family and work commitments. |
January 20th 2008 |
(Andrew Bill Specials Page Section) - A much overdue Dragonmaster update. This time Number 14 owned by Michael Windsor, Number 22 owned by Jas Kambo, Number 23 owned by Stefan & Number 25 owned by Mark Rebholz. (All photos taken by Andrew Bill) Also photos of piece Number 50, this is owned by Paul Bodsworth who bought it as a white and sent it to fellow collector Sue Camm for her to paint for him. |
January 21st 2009 |
(Dragonsite section) - Just a small update, this is for Pristine, the paint your own piece that was premiered at the 2008 Dragonsite event on the 5th of October, I've added an official photo of the piece which I will replace with my own photos as soon as possible. I've also added a few extra details like price and measurements. |
January 22nd 2009 |
(Dragonsite section) - Another update to the Pristine paint your own piece page. I've started an extra page for collector submitted pieces painted by either the collector or by a professional artist Here, Note that this will be a more simplified page that the ones i've done for Dragonmaster, Marauder & the TSL pieces. We start with a piece owned by Ivo and painted by Tina Sherratt. |
January 24th 2009 |
(Dragonsite section) - (verbuMMagus Section) - I've added two more pieces in the repaints and different colourways subsection, these are Berzerker and Patriarch both owned by Ivo which he purchased as unpainted whites at the 2008 Dragonsite show and were painted for him by Tina Sherratt. |
January 26th 2009 |
(Enchantica section) - Since Xystos have decided to no longer continue with the Enchantica brand I've decided that I no longer need to keep a few pieces secret! The brand is up for sale so the new owners may eventually release them, but with the current economic climate I doubt very much if anyone would want to commit to buying the range right now, so I feel happy showing the pieces, but if someone does buy the range and asks me to temporarily remove the pages I will do. The first part of this update is three un-released Gargoyle Dragons, I've included photos of a painted version, the artwork by Rob Simpson and my photos of an unpainted white. Gargoyle Dragon 1, Gargoyle Dragon 2 & Gargoyle Dragon 3. I've also put the art for the three pieces in the Rob Simpson artwork section I've also put the photos of the whites in the Whites Section. Also (and Finally) I've added a few other pieces in the whites section that I forgot to add at the time of adding the pieces to the main catalogue, they are EN3026 The Summoned, EN3030 Malshan, EN3031 G'Saith, EN3032 The Watcher & EN3033 Noctyrn |
January 27th 2009 |
(Enchantica section) - Repeating yesterdays update, since Xystos have decided to no longer continue with the Enchantica brand I've decided that I no longer need to keep a few pieces secret! The brand is up for sale so the new owners may eventually release them, but with the current economic climate I doubt very much if anyone would want to commit to buying the range right now, so I feel happy showing the pieces, but if someone does buy the range and asks me to temporarily remove the pages I will do. This is update is two un-released really nice medium sized dragons (like last years Noctyrn), I've included photos of a painted version and my photos of an unpainted white. Dragon 1 & Dragon 2 These again were designed by Rob Simpson and sculpted in China I've also put the photos of the whites in the Whites Section. |
January 28th 2008 |
(Andrew Bill Specials Page Section) - Another Dragonmaster update. This time Number 27 owned by David Corden, Painted by Tina Sherratt & photos taken by Andrew Bill |
January 29th 2009 |
(Enchantica section) - I've found the artwork for the two medium sized dragons that I put on the site on the 27th so I've added them to the pages Terrain Dragon 1 & Skull Dragon 2 I've also put the art in the Rob Simpson artwork section |
January 30th 2009 |
(Enchantica section) - Every so often some old Extravaganza auction pieces turn up, and back in October I was contacted by a collector who actually bought two pieces at the first two shows, instead of buying them later on ebay etc...(I always like to see that there are still some original collectors out there) I have added photos of Hoolock, Lot number 39 from the very first Extravaganza back in 1996 and Carobus, Lot number 18 from the second Extravaganza in 1997. (I've put them in the auction pages and the different colour pages but i've put the links to the different colour pages as i really need to revamp the auction pages) The pieces are owned by collector Ingrid who also took the photos |
January 31st 2009 |
(Andrew Bill Specials Page Section) - This is for one of the final two Marauders ever made and the last one needed to be added to the site (other than number 3 which I have never seen), this is Number 41 owned by Jerome Rossini. |
February 6th 2009 |
(Dragonsite section) (Nene Thomas Section) - I've added a few more repaints to the repaints & artists proof page with photos of three repaints by Tina Sherratt for collector Fred Winkler. They are Purple Lace (Painted to look like Pumpkin Patch), Hope (Painted to look like Direwood) & Dark Skies |
February 7th 2009 |
(Dragonsite section) (Jessica Galbreth Section) - I've added a few more repaints to the repaints & artists proof page with photos of two Tina Sherratt repaints, again for collector Fred Winkler They are Lavender Moon (Painted like Nightfall) & Yule Faery (Painted like Holiday Splendor) |
February 8th 2009 |
(Enchantica section) - I have added photos two repaints in the different colour pages. They are EN2195 Kaamil & EN2254 Kwannon, both repainted by Tina Sherratt for collector Ivo.
(Dragonsite section) (Nene Thomas Section) - I've added one more repaint to the repaints & artists proof page with photos of Storm Runes by Tina Sherratt for collector Ivo. |
February 9th 2009 |
(Dragonsite section) (Linda Biggs Section) - I've added photos of two Linda Biggs pieces that while in production had clear resin wings but a limited run of 20 piece (of each) were sold on Lindas' own website with solid wings (I prefer the solid ones), they are Native Spirit & Balance (photos are at the bottom of each page) both pieces are owned by Fred Winkler |
February 18th 2009 |
(Dragonsite section) (Jessica Galbreth Section) - I've added two more repaints to the repaints & artists proof page with photos of two Tina Sherratt repaints, again for collector Fred Winkler. I say two repaints but they actually make up one piece, they are Patient (Virgo) & Persistant (Taurus) both repainted as Gemini. The reason for this is because the production version of Gemini which is released next month is only 5.5" tall compared to the rest of the range which are 8" tall, so Fred wanted a Gemini that was the same scale. |
February 21st 2009 |
(Dragonsite/Fairysite Section) - I've started to add a few of the new/recent release pieces, they all just include official photos superimposed onto my blue background for now and no measurements or other details, I'll add my own photos and the details at a later date. (Nene Thomas Section) - Absinthe, Sapphire, Wisdom, Winter Wings (Jessica Galbreth Section) - Winter Masquerade (Linda Biggs Section) - Snow Queen |
February 22nd 2009 |
(Dragonsite/Fairysite Section) (Linda Biggs Section) - I've added a repaints section, it only has one piece in at the moment but it was the best way for me to add a repaint by Tina Sherratt of Snow Queen for collector Fred Winkler |
March 9th 2009 |
(Dragonsite section) - I've added another painted version of Pristine the paint your own piece, this one is owned by Chris Wade & painted by Tina Sherratt. |
March 10th 2009 |
(Enchantica section) - I've added photos of a few repainted pieces owned by Chris Wade & painted by Tina Sherratt. EN2000 Rattajack - Please in a darker shade of green |
March 11th 2009 |
(Andrew Bill Specials Page Section) - One more Marauder has made an appearance, this was a damaged piece Andrew Bill had laying around in his workshop, he repaired it and advertised it for sale on the TSL Forum. This is definitely the last Marauder ever and is Number 43 now owned by Chris Wade. I still have to add pictures of piece number 3 (which I've never seen and may never get photos of) and piece number 40 which I'm waiting for permission to post pictures) |
March 26th 2009 |
Advert placed on all the Andrew Bill Dragonsite pages and the website opening pages for the first Dragonsite shop event of 2009 on the 25th of April held at Collect@ in Halifax
|
March 27th 2009 |
(Andrew Bill Specials Page Section) - This should be the last Marauder I add to the site unless I manage to get photos of piece number 3. This is Number 40 it was made during Mouldarts last days, Tina Sherratt had just finished painting it when Mouldart closed, so Andrew Tittensor saved it for owner Mark Brown. Mark then contacted Andrew Bill who supplied him with certificate number 40. |
March 28th 2009 |
(Andrew Bill Specials Page Section) - Another Dragonmaster added (I've had these photos for months waiting for permission to add them but it's been so long that I'm adding them anyway now) This time Number 10 owned by Andrew Burden |
April 1st 2009 |
(Hap Henriksen - Wizards, Jesters & Dragons) - I opened my email this morning to find photos of the Hap Henriksen Jester, Jollies Pitchbelly owned by Fabian Rodriguez and I thought to myself "what better day to put them on the site than today, April Fools day" so here you go, something thats not a dragon / wizard / faery, this is a nice Jester for a change. |
April 2nd 2009 |
(Andrew Bill Specials Page Section) - Another Dragonmaster added This time Number 16 owned by Matthew Harvey |
April 4th 2009 |
(Andrew Bill Specials Page Section) - I've given the Andrew Bill section a little facelift with new buttons replacing the old ones, this has been done because the section was looking tired but mainly because I have added Andrews latest piece the Laidly Wyrm. I've added photos of the painted piece and i've also added photos on the second page of an unpainted white and of a master. You may notice a change... I've not included photos of the painted version on my usual blue background, this is intentional and how I intend to show future releases and maybe other ranges from now on. |
April 7th 2009 |
(Dragonsite section) (Nene Thomas Section) - I've added the first of three repaints to the repaints & artists proof page with photos of a repaint by Tina Sherratt for collector Fred Winkler. This is Dragon Moon (Painted to look like Severeielle) |
April 8th 2009 |
(Dragonsite section) (Nene Thomas Section) - I've added the second & third repaints (continuing from yesterday) to the repaints & artists proof page with photos of repaints by Tina Sherratt for collector Fred Winkler. |
April 15th 2009 |
(Fairysite Section) (Linda Ravenscroft Section) - Brand new Linda Ravenscroft sub-section added to the Fairysite section, this is the first fairysite sub-section that is not co-linked from the dragonsite section. It includes the four new pieces, Autumns Morning, Verdure Fae, The Grump & Guelder Rose. |
April 16th 2009 |
(Fairysite Section) (Brigid Ashwood Section) - I've added the four new Funky Fairys Shimmer, Cyd, Jinx & Pinkie. Not my kind of thing, but there you go. |
April 16th 2009 |
(Syrens of the Sea Section) - This is a new subsection to go with Dragonsite & Fairysite, this is a new range of Mermaids by Munro/Fantasy Gifts called Syrens of the Sea and like the others the figurines are based on the artwork of famous artists. There are three pieces at the moment:
Aurora by Christine Bowman They have their own section but it is linked closely with the Dragonsite & Fairysite sections (the Fairysite button on the main menu page has been altered to incorporate Syrens of the Sea now. |
April 22nd 2009 |
(Collectors Profiles Section) - I've updated the collector profile of Nicola with new text and four new photos |
April 24th 2009 |
(Hap Henriksen - Wizards, Jesters & Dragons - I've given the whole Hap Henriksen section a long overdue facelift to bring it nearer the standard of the Dragonsite & Enchantica sections, I've sorted out some of the links that weren't working (some may still need looking at though) i've also added new buttons at the bottom of each page linking to each subsection (Wizards, Dragons, Jesters & Other Items) to ease navigation. There are still some bits that need doing but it's getting there. Over the next week or two I will start to replace some of the photos with larger versions. |
April 26th 2009 |
(Dragonsite section) - I've added a page about the Dragonsite/Fairysite shop event at Collect@ in Halifax yesterday, complete with a few photos. I've put the page with the other Dragonsite events |
April 26th 2009 |
(Dragonsite section) (Andrew Bill Section) - To continue from todays other update (see below) I've added photos of Arrival, the shop event piece in it's blue colourway that was only available from Collect@ on the day |
April 27th 2009 |
(Dragons from British Folklore Section) - I've decided to put a link on the main page that goes direct to the Dragons from British Folklore section, it is still accessible from the Andrew Bill Specials section as before (and will remain like that) but I feel it also needed its own link on the main page to separate it a little and make it a bit more noticable. I've also added the brand new logo for the range that Andrew Bill gave to me on Saturday and I've added an extra photo of Laidly Wyrm and also put photos of the original wax sculpture (on page 2) and I've included the certificate too. (Dragonsite section) (Andrew Bill Section) - I've finally added my own photos of Pristine the paint your own piece. I've also included a picture of the certificate. |
April 30th 2009 |
(Dragonsite section) - I've added a few more photos from the Halifax Dragonsite/Fairysite shop event at Collect@ in the Piece Hall. Many thanks to Ivo for sending them to me |
May 1st 2009 |
(Perth Pewter Section) - Brand new section added for Perth Pewter This section should have been up and running last year but a few family commitments and personal issues put a hold on any new sections. I've seen the website grow over the years but it's expanding with a lot more fairies than originally planned (to the point of me worrying that they were beginning to take over), the original plan was for a site about wizard and dragon figurines with a few other creatures thrown in, so I've been on the lookout for something to redress the balance a little! then I found a nice little pewter wizard emerging from a book which I bought and then I looked for more pieces to see if I could create a section for them... I found that Perth Pewter had been running for many years which excited me because it's meant I've had a bit of a challenge to get the section looking anything like i wanted it, plus it also meant that the section is a lot larger than originally planned because i was just going to have two or three pages to showcase the range, not the 120 pages i now have, with a good 80 or more planned. Note: these are not to be confused with the likes of Tudor Mint and their Myth and Magic range, these are made out of pewter (not like Myth & Magic that is white metal given a 'pewter look') Besides my own research to put a rough catalogue together, I couldn't have done this section without the generous photo contributions of fellow collector Harold Blackwood and some co-operation from a seller going by the name of A Syrens Call (who seem to have vanished now) There are a LOT of gaps in the catalogues and I still have a sub-section or two to add in the future but I wanted to get the pages I was working on last year up and running before I started to look for more gaps to fill with missing pieces, plus I owed it to Harold to get his photos up on the site at long last instead of them sitting on my computer. Anyway here is the brand new mini section that profiles a range that takes my site back to it's origins without a fairy in sight! It's so nice to know that there are still ranges out there that have been running since the 1970's that are heavily biased towards traditional looking Wizards instead of just dragons or fairies. Please have a good look through the section because there are some very nice large studies, especially some of the LE & LM editions. (Just one final note... I find it quite amusing that Perth Pewter use the same blue cloth for their backround as me for their photos!) |
May 2nd 2009 |
(Perth Pewter Section) - Continuing the Perth Pewter section from yesterday, Harold Blackwood has sent me photos of two more pieces he has added to his collection so I thought i'd add them to the site straight away. They are from the LE & LM Editions Section, firstly LE04 Wind Wizard and secondly the unusual LE06 The Enchanted Castle |
May 3rd 2009 |
Just when you thought is was safe from the fairy invasion... (Fairysite Section) (Nene Thomas Section) - Five new Nene figures. These are actually reworkings of previously released pieces. NT147 Serenity & NT148 Introspection but both as wall plaques this time NT1109 Symphony in Black & White, NT1110 Rhapsody in Gold, NT1111 Lavender Serenade & NT1112 Prelude in Blue but this time all as Bubble Riders instead of hangers.
(Fairysite Section) (Selina Fenech Section) - one new 'oddity' added - SF32057 Greenman Birdfeeder - I really wish this was being done as a door knocker like the art and not as this strange 'bird feeder' |
May 4th 2009 |
Hap Henriksen Update (Rawcliffe Pewter Section) - Another brand new "Mini" section but this time it is most definitely a smaller section! it can be accessed from the Main Menu page or the Wizards, Dragons & Jesters section (under other Hap sculptures) I've had photos of a Hap Henriksen piece by Rawcliffe Pewter for quite some time now, but I've not known where to put them... But now I'm doing a few mini sections to showcase just a few pieces from different ranges, I feel that I can now add them. So I've added a very basic Rawcliffe Pewter section which I will build up over time, but I will only keep it small unless someone comes along with lots of detail about the range. I've split it into two sections, one for things I find sculpted by Hap Henriksen & one for photos of a small selection of other pieces from the range. The Hap section just has the one piece in it called Conversation With An Owl but I'll add a few more in time. The other section doesn't have anything in it as yet but I will try to add photos of a few pieces just to flesh it out a little (Phoenix Pewter Section) - Another "Mini" section in the making is a Phoenix Pewter section but this is in it's very early stages so it is only accessable from the Wizards, Dragons & Jesters section (under other Hap sculptures) because at the moment there is just an opening page and nothing else but since Hap scuplted pieces for them too, I thought I better get things ready! It will probably just be a very small section along the same lines as the Rawcliffe section with it split into two sub sections, one for haps work and one for the rest (Hap Henriksen - Wizards, Jesters & Dragons) - In my continuation of revamping this Hap section I've started to work on the photos, just a very simple start for now, I've made the group photo on the Wizards, Jesters & Dragons intro pages larger, plus on the same pages (and the catalogue pages for each section) i've added three pictures I've never put on the site before, these are the covers for 3 separate catalogues when the range was released by Liliput Lane, I think they are fantastic but they are rarely seen because there was a catalogue released later with all the pieces combined into one which is the catalogue most people know about, I think they make great headers for each catalogue page so at long last i've included them for you to see, you can see Hap's head has been included in the artwork too for all three pictures. |
May 5th 2009 |
(Hap Henriksen - Wizards, Jesters & Dragons) - In my continuation of revamping this Hap section I've started to work on the piece photos now by going through my original photos and making new larger versions for the following Wizards: Thorbauld - Four full length pictures resized More to follow... |
May 5th 2009 |
(Perth Pewter Section) - Photos of two more pieces owned by Harold Blackwood added. LE07 Dragon Tales and LE31 Water Wizard from the LE & LM Editions |
May 6th 2009 |
(Dragonsite section) (Andrew Bill Section) - I've added photos of another painted Pristine piece, this one is owned by Andre Roberts and painted by Tina Sherratt. |
May 8th 2009 |
(Hap Henriksen - Wizards, Jesters & Dragons) - In my continuation of revamping this Hap section and resizing the piece photos I've done a few more Wizards: Howland the Wise - Five full length pictures resized More to follow... |
May 9th 2009 |
(Hap Henriksen - Wizards, Jesters & Dragons) - In my continuation of revamping this Hap section and resizing the piece photos I've done the last of the Wizards: Seeking Council - All pictures resized That finishes all the Wizard section as far as I can go for now and there is nothing else I can do in the Jesters and Other Items sections, so... that just leaves the Dragon section to resize pictures in now. |
May 10th 2009 |
(Hap Henriksen - Wizards, Jesters & Dragons) - In my continuation of revamping this Hap section and resizing the piece photos I've started on the Dragons: Dragon of the Golden Hoard - All pictures resized More to follow... |
May 11th 2009 |
(Hap Henriksen - Wizards, Jesters & Dragons) - In my continuation of revamping this Hap section and resizing the piece photos I've done the last of the Dragons: Atnanticus - All pictures resized This finishes the Dragons. |
May 12th 2009 |
(Hap Henriksen - Wizards, Jesters & Dragons) - Just to finish off stage two of the revamp with resizing of photos of Merlyn Wizard Watcher, Counter Sign & Repository of Magic
And now, this is the start of the third and final stage of the revamping of this Hap section: Main Menu slightly reworked with two new buttons to take you to three new pages (see below) New page added for a Hap Henriksen profile - This is just a very brief profile including a very old picture that could do with a bit of expanding, but it will do for now because it has been long overdue. New page added About the Range - This is a brief history of the range and by no means meant to be a full record, but like the Hap profile, it has been long overdue! it has a few interesting facts in for those who are new to the range and i few images thrown in to make it look more interesting. New page added for Paperwork/Packaging, this is a work in progress page which I will add some of the paperwork, like the catalogues and leaflets etc... but i've done the packaging section with photos of the box the pieces came in and the art from the box etc...
And that's it, you'll be pleased to know that the section is almost finished again, other than me retaking photos of 'Let Sleeping Dragons Lie' and creating interactive catalogues on the paperwork page and maybe doing a few extra bits as I think about them, plus adding new photos as and when other collectors send them to me of the pieces I need more photos of. |
May 13th 2009 |
(Hap Henriksen - Wizards, Jesters & Dragons) - In the Paperwork/Packaging section i've made three of the early catalogues available as interactive books where you can turn the pages and see each individual page as though you had it in your hands. |
May 17th 2009 |
(Land of Legend) - Yet another new mini section added, Land of Legend, this is another work in progress section which I will add to on occaision. I decided that besides the Hap Henriksen Land of Legend pieces (and the long overdue Real Musgrave Pocket Dragons section) I should really add some of the other ranges that were released under this banner by other renowned sculptors. I've started with two ranges sculpted by Tom Raine The Dragons of the Covenant - As the title says, a range of Dragons, all photos are official pictures except for the one piece I own called Cerberus. Giants and Ogres - Again the title of the range says it all really. Again all photos are official ones but I would love to add different photos if anyone can help because I like these as they are a little different to other fantasy ranges and make a nice addition to the site. There were other Fantasy ranges under the Land of Legend banner during its time as Lilliput Lane and the Collectible World Studios and I will add others in time. |
May 18th 2009 |
(Hap Henriksen - Wizards, Jesters & Dragons) - In the Paperwork/Packaging section i've made the rest of the catalogues available as interactive books where you can turn the pages and see each individual page as though you had it in your hands. 1991 Wizards, Jesters & Dragons (Designed by Rob Simpson) |
May 22nd 2009 |
(TSL Exclusives Piece Section) - Very small update, I've just changed the background for the TSL Exclusives pages and slightly altered the Totem page to make it clearer that there are more pages to view instead of just the front page. This is just simple preparation of the section for the upcoming TSL3 piece. |
June 5th 2009 |
Advert placed on all Dragonsite & Fairysite main pages and the website opening pages for the second Dragonsite/Fairysite shop event of 2009 on the 28th of June held at Harvest Moon in Stourbridge
|
June 13th 2009 |
(Dragonsite section) (Andrew Bill Section) - I've added a photo of Arrival, the shop event piece in it's black and gold colourway that will only be available for one day from Harvest Moon in Stourbridge at their Dragonsite shop event on the 28th of June. I've also added a photo of a Pristine painted by Tina Sherratt as a promotional colourway to promote the above show, it is being sold on eBay Both photos in this update kindly supplied by Adrian Donati from the Dragonsite |
June 23rd 2009 - The site and my computer has recently been invaded by 3 nasty virus, they attacked the index pages of all my sites so I removed them for a few days. After a LOT of work I seem to have a clean computer again but I want to be certain! I've put the index pages back to check stability but I'm leaving the forum for a short while because it requires a lot more intricate work to the code that needs my full concentration which I can't do at the moment. Sorry for not replying to emails but I've got a lot on at the moment with sorting out the virus problem and I didn't want to be repeating myself to everyone when I could be sorting things out, Plus I've been away for a few days to get away from everything and I start training a new job tomorrow but I will do my best to get the forum up and running soon. |
|
June 25th 2009 - The site seems stable now so that just leaves the forum which I hope to have up and running tomorrow but it could be Saturday, and if that fails it will have to be next week, I'm just waiting for a little bit of information before I delete some files. Please remember that the old forum is still there and you can use that, It has always been there for use in an emergency but no one seems to have thought about it other than Ivo (no it's not all locked Ivo and never has been, I've just made it so that only one thread is open and no new ones can be started) If you were a member before just log in and go to This Thread, if you weren't a member of the old forum you can register a new account (but I will need to validate it personally so it may take a while) |
|
June 26th 2009 - After a headache battle, it looks like I've solved the forum issue! I've replaced all the affected files, cleaned up some others and updated the main forum files with new upto date ones which should resolve some of the spam problems we were having. Hopefully the forum is almost fully up and running , please let me know if you find a problem (at the moment you can't start a new topic but you can reply to current ones) |
